SG NewTech’s Internship Program Trains Recent Graduates in Kenya for Careers in Tech

SG NewTech welcomes 3 new associates to its team after they successfully completed its internship program.

The year-long program was started in 2021 as a way for the Kenya-based organization to invest in the professional development of recent graduates in the community. The selected interns are given the unique experience to receive close mentorship from one of the leading global technology solutions companies in the region.

I’ve gained knowledge and learned new skills as I’ve worked on a variety of projects...

The Selection Process

Shortlisted from a pool of staff referrals, interviewed and selected based on their assessed skills, the interns are trained through different departments for the first 3 months of the program. After this period, they are placed on teams and assigned to projects, including Quality Assurance and Software Testing, CreditQuest, Temenos Center of Excellence (TCoE), etc. Upon completion of the program, their performance is evaluated and successful interns may be offered a 1 year employment contract.

I received mentorship and guidance which has contributed to both my personal growth and career.
